Crawlin’ and such…

easter-sano-030dsc02401dsc02379dsc02406dsc02387I am just amazed daily at Bella’s development lately. She is now crawling – FAST! Jeremy and I realized that we are going to have to watch her much more closely now – as she is curious and getting into everything. It is so interesting to see that she realizes that she has gained some control over her environment – and also to watch her push things around on the floor, because she knows that she will be able to go after them. I can tell she really loves the feel of the grass under her as she crawls. We’ve been spending alot of time in the backyard lately, especially in the afternoons when it is warmer. She loves to pick the grass and explore the falling leaves, flowers – and she especially loves to go after Hazel…I just have to watch what goes in that little mouth of hers… I recently made her nine month well check up appointment. I can’t believe that she is already nine months old. I know it is such a cliche…but it IS amazing how fast they grow.

So many things have been happening for her over the past week or so. She is getting her fourth tooth (2nd top – she got the first top on April 1). She can now easily pull up on the couch and creeps along the edge to get to things. She can now pull up to standing in her crib (that was a fun night of little sleep…). She learned to clap her hands. She has learned to eat finger foods (gerber star puffs).

easter-sano-035The weather was absolutely perfect this weekend, so we spent alot of time outside. On Saturday, Jeremy and I took her and Hazel to Del Mar Dog Beach and walked into town and had an early dinner. We haven’t been out to a restaurant in quite a while – so it was a bit of a treat for us. We went to bed early – because we had a BIG day today in San Onofre. We met up with the Radcliffes’, the Pauls’es, the Neals’, and Brad Tieman (Sheri and Cash are out of town.). Three kiddo tents, a bunch of umbrellas, a red wagon and sand toys – and I’d say it was a nice little party. All the kids “played” together pretty well. Kaelyn and Bella danced (or more like Nate and Bella danced 🙂 – Cody and Bella played with sand toys (It was the first time I’ve ever seen Bella be a little aggressive, wanting all the new toys Cody was playing with…) and Cliff tickled Bella’s feet. She is finally getting old enough to be interested in the other kids – even though she is still mostly just focused on the environment around her… Funny, this San O trip was really not that different from our San O trips without kids…just alot more care to make sure that there were shady areas…and maybe less beer… (although I did have one freezing cold bud light that tasted pretty darn good.) We spent six hours there – and as usual we were beat by the time we got home.

I’ll put up a FOR THE RECORDS update at the end of the week after our Dr. appt.

Here’s some video of Bella Crawling…
